Monday night in Hawaii, we were treated to an amazing meal at Roy’s Waikoloa Bar & Grill. Our host, Arnie McLain was fabulous, so gracious and welcoming, and boy did he treat us right! He even welcomed Maurice! We were treated to a great selection of appetizers, drinks, main courses and desserts! Flavours that one can only dream of being able to enjoy daily! My favourites included the Wild Boar Rangoon, the blackened Island ahi and the dynamite crab encrusted sea scallops….ok that covers the appetizers!! As for my main course, I don’t even know how to describe it other than by saying NOM NOM NOM. I was in heaven, I had ordered the Hawaiian Style Misoyaki Butterfish. I had never tasted anything quite like it before. I promise you, there is no better fish dinner out there! I could eat that every day of my life and never get bored with it!

The staff at Roy’s in Waikoloa was wonderful. Vella took great care of us, answering all of our questions, taking the time to explain each and every dish and just being so pleasant with us.  I definitely think that Roy’s Waikoloa Bar & Grill is a MUST when visiting the area.

Ohhh and we must not forget the desserts! Here’s a sampling of some of what was enjoyed… this is the Waikoloa’s Toasted Coconut Haupia Brownie! Decadent? YES! Delicious? YES! Does it make you happy? YES!

Do yourself a favour, when you get to the big Island of Hawaii, get over to Roy’s Waikoloa Bar & Grill…say hello to Arnie and the staff and enjoy one of the best meals you’ll ever have the pleasure of savouring.
